Here’s a common misconception that we want to debunk today: it doesn’t really matter who you bring in for GPR scanning services. In fact, it matters quite a bit!
If you care about the accuracy of your results (and we have yet to meet a client who doesn’t), it’s important to work with a company that has the best scanning equipment for the job and highly skilled technicians who know how to interpret the scans. Not only that, but you also need to hire a company who can provide you with the deliverables you need to proceed safely with your project. On some projects, all our clients need is for us to spray paint on the ground where buried hazards are located so they can be avoided. Other clients need us to provide them with a CAD overlay. In some cases, we even need to produce a document with an official stamp from a licensed professional land surveyor (PLS).
Before you hire a friend of a friend who happens to have a ground penetrating radar (GPR) scanner, make sure they can provide you with the deliverable(s) you need. If they can’t, keep looking for a GPR scanning service that can.
At Enhanced Scanning, we work hard to provide every one of our clients with amazing service, accurate results, and the deliverables they need to proceed with their projects. We have invested in the latest equipment, as well as in training our team to be the best in the business! If it is determined that GPR isn’t the best type of technology for the job once we see the site, we have other nondestructive tools we can bring in to get you the results you need. (GPR is not a perfect technology, and has its limitations, which we discussed in this previous blog post.) We can also verify the results of your GPR scan with other tools, if necessary.
Before you hire one of the many GPR scanning services in Southern California, ask yourself this: “Do I want to work with someone who does GPR scanning as a side gig, or do I want to work with a professional company that works with this technology every day and has a team made up of experts at finding what is buried underground or embedded in concrete?” If your answer is, “the latter,” give us a call or send us a message through our website. We can answer any initial questions you may have and get you scheduled for service right away. We service all of Southern California, including Riverside, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties. We will even travel outside of the area for special projects.
